“Art as a reflection of the soul” is the title of the exhibition, installed in the evocative Chapel of Santa Sofia, inaugurated at Palazzo San Domenico by the artist Francesco Sandirocco. The event, sponsored by the Municipality of Agrigento, is a unique opportunity to immerse oneself in the artist's creative universe, originally from the province of Frosinone but adopted by Agrigento, already outlined in his digital space as a journey through works, emotions and visions.

The philosophy that guides Sandirocco's entire production is the concept of “art as a reflection of the soul”, with works on canvas on display, thirty-five in total, ranging from the conceptual to the figurative, and representing fragments of an inner inquiry that aims to engage the viewer in a deep and personal emotional dialogue.

The exhibition is an invitation to discover how color and form can become tangible expressions of the spirit. The show, curated by Rino Sabella, allows visitors to experience this poetics firsthand, offering a selection of works that range between dreamlike suggestions and existential reflections.

“The exhibition – writes critic Sabella in the catalogue – also invites us to cross that threshold between the visible and the invisible, between the illusion of what appears and the mystery of what is hidden, offering a space for personal reflection in which the work becomes a mirror of the viewer's soul. Francesco Sandirocco – continues Sabella – creates on the canvas works of great intensity as a natural extension of a deep passion for musical creation.” Visitors are thus invited to appreciate that “touch of digital color” that characterizes the artist's poetics, an ideal bridge between the modernity of language and the classicism of feeling. The works are genuine fragments of an inner investigation that aim at a deep and personal emotional dialogue. The exhibition will remain open free to the public until March 20.
