An afternoon entirely dedicated to archaeology takes place today in Comiso: the headquarters of Arteinsieme, located at via Senatore Caruso, will host a conference by Professor Giovanni Di Stefano, one of the most authoritative voices in the Mediterranean landscape, at 6:30 PM.

Professor at the University of Calabria and at Tor Vergata in Rome, Di Stefano is known for his studies on the Punic and Roman worlds and for his ability to make complex topics accessible without sacrificing scientific rigor.

The meeting, titled “Carthage, the amphitheater of Perpetua and Felicita”, will offer the public a fascinating journey through history, archaeology, and the memory of places, with particular attention to the latest research findings.

Opening the proceedings will be Mayor Maria Rita Schembari, President of Arteinsieme Marcello Nativo, and Marialuisa Occhione, who will highlight the cultural value of the initiative and Di Stefano's role in spreading knowledge of the Mediterranean heritage.

The presence of the archaeologist represents a significant opportunity for the city: engaged for years in scientific investigations and outreach, Di Stefano has helped to bring to a wide audience sites and civilizations often overlooked, restoring to them historical depth and relevance.

The event is part of the cultural activities program promoted by Arteinsieme and is expected to be of great interest to enthusiasts, scholars, and citizens eager to delve into a captivating chapter of antiquity.
