Modica, the Divine Comedy in the art of Guido Cicero

An unmissable opportunity for enthusiasts of great literature and visual arts will close the month of March in Modica.

On Sunday, March 22, 2026, at 5:30 PM, the prestigious Palazzo della Cultura will host the tenth event of the XXI Literary Season of the “Quasimodo” Literary Café.

Under the guiding theme “Dante between verses and colors”, the evening, titled “The Divine Comedy in the Paintings of Guido Cicero – When Literature Meets Art”, will explore the intense dialogue between the work of the Supreme Poet and the pictorial interpretation by Guido Cicero.

A sensory journey aimed at shedding new light on the three canticas through the power of color and sign.

The critical analysis will be entrusted to Prof. Giuseppe Di Mari, while the debate will be coordinated by Monica Iurato. The actor and director Gianni Battaglia will give voice to the Dantesque tercets with moments of recitation. To enrich the atmosphere, the harp notes of M° Fabio Rizza will be featured.
