The farewell
Applause and "La lontananza" for the final farewell to Enrica Bonaccorti at the Church of Artists in Rome
The coffin accompanied by daughter Verdiana and ex-husband Arnaldo Del Piave
The coffin of Enrica Bonaccorti arrived at the Church of Artists in Rome to the notes of "La lontananza" by Domenico Modugno. Its arrival, accompanied by the presenter’s daughter, Verdiana, and ex-husband, Arnaldo Del Piave, was met with applause. Among those already in the church were Alba Parietti, Alberto Matano, Giorgio Assumma, Eleonora Daniele, Valeria Fabrizi, Dario Salvatori, Guillermo Mariotto, Ilona Staller, and Gianni Ippoliti.
«She was not just a colleague, but above all a friend. A friend in general to people, because she was someone who had a great attention for human beings, for humanity. She put her life, her humanity, her feelings, and her daughter first. She is a woman of great artistic talent because she was a great writer, as well as a great presenter, but always, above all, a person». This was stated by Alba Parietti upon arriving at the funeral of Enrica Bonaccorti today in Rome. «There are so many anecdotes - she added - We shared friendships, personal affections, and therefore many fun evenings together. Renato (Zero) will be there today, even if not in person, with a warm memory. And then I know he organized a lot, he made that last wonderful gift to Enrica, paying her a tribute, as was right to do from his stage, and in my opinion, he gave a great smile to Enrica who showed great courage with her daughter. Especially for those who probably shared her same problem, an idea of great strength and great courage».
