The finding
Fairy tale ending for Lily Collins' stolen engagement ring
He had disappeared almost three years ago; he has "reemerged" thanks to the honesty of a jeweler in Chicago.
Hollywood ending for Lily Collins' stolen engagement ring taken from the Emily in Paris actress nearly three years ago: the diamond set in a gold band has resurfaced in the workshop of a Chicago jeweler, Joe Hakimian, who purchased it in October at a trade fair in New York.

Hakimian, who had posted a photo of the ring in December, received a message a month ago indicating that the ring might be the stolen one: "At first, I was shocked and scared," the jeweler said: "This is not the kind of business I deal with, stolen goods. It's a terrible thing".

That same day, Hakimian contacted director Charlie McDowell, Collins' husband, from whom he confirmed that it was indeed the engagement ring he had given to his fiancée. The jeweler, who did not want to reveal how much he paid for it, said he had quickly arranged for the return of the piece to the couple. "Getting it back means so much to us," Lily wrote on social media, posting a photo of herself with the ring on her finger: "I'm still speechless".
