Spring FAI Days, the map of visits in the province of Ragusa

The FAI Spring Days, scheduled to take place in the province of Ragusa on Saturday, March 21 and Sunday, March 22, 2026, represent the most significant national event dedicated to Italian cultural and landscape heritage. It is a major civic participation and fundraising event that allows millions of people each year to explore places that are often little known, inadequately valued, or usually closed to the public.

The initiative serves as an essential tool for education on the knowledge and protection of cultural heritage, in implementation of Article 9 of the Constitution and in line with the principle of subsidiarity established by Article 118. Registrations and donations directly support the mission of the Foundation, which consists of acquiring, restoring, opening, and enhancing its 75 Assets, 60 of which are regularly accessible to visitors.

For the 2026 edition, the FAI Delegation of Ragusa proposes the extraordinary opening of three sites of significant historical and artistic interest:

Ragusa Ibla – Villino Arezzo di Trifiletti. A residence of great charm, keeper of family memories, which will open its doors to the public for the occasion. The visits will be guided by the Apprendisti Ciceroni from the institutes “F. Crispi – Vetri”, “Quasimodo – Ventre”, and “M. Schininà”.

Comiso – Castello dei Naselli d’Aragona. A symbolic place for the city's history, it will be narrated by the students of the Secondary Higher Education Institute “Giosuè Carducci” of Comiso.

Modica – Chiesetta Rupestre di San Nicolò Inferiore. A small rock jewel, recognized as a Place of the Heart of FAI, whose restoration was made possible also thanks to the support of the Foundation. Accompanying the visitors will be the students from the “Verga” Musical High School and the Comprehensive Institute “Santa Marta – E. Ciaceri” of Modica.

The visits will be enriched by the presence of the LIS Guides from the National Deaf Association – Provincial Section of Ragusa, who will offer a valuable service of linguistic and cultural mediation in Italian Sign Language, making the experience more accessible and inclusive. For FAI, this is a further step towards a truly open enjoyment for all.

Access to the locations will be on a donation basis, in support of the activities of the Foundation. FAI members, as well as those who sign up for the first time during the event, will benefit from priority access and dedicated openings. Subscribing to the membership means becoming part of a community committed to safeguarding Italy's cultural heritage and landscape.

It will also be possible to support the FAI mission remotely, until March 29, 2026, through donations via SMS or landline call to the number 45584, according to the methods and amounts set by individual telephone operators.
