A new and significant opportunity arrives for the young people in the area who wish to engage in a path of personal growth and community service. The Department for Youth Policies has published the call for the selection of 65,964 volunteer operators to be employed in Universal Civil Service projects. Among these, 239 will be allocated to the Firefighters offices throughout Italy, with particular attention also to the province of Ragusa, for which 7 positions have been reserved.
This choice values the territory and recognizes the strategic role of the Provincial Command of the Firefighters, which has always been a point of reference in rescue, prevention, and civil protection activities. For the young people of Ragusa, this is a concrete opportunity to approach a complex and fascinating professional world while contributing to the safety of the community.
The project, titled “Beyond the Flames: The Civil Protection of the Firefighters”, aims to closely showcase the daily work of the National Corps, not only in emergency situations but also in prevention, information, and support for citizens. It is a training path that allows volunteers to acquire technical skills, operational capabilities, and a greater awareness of the role of civil protection in the social fabric.
The presence of seven positions dedicated to Ragusa represents an important signal: the territory is recognized as a dynamic area, with a strong tradition of volunteering and a youth fabric attentive to issues of safety and public service. For many boys and girls, it can be the beginning of a professional journey or, more simply, a life experience that leaves a deep mark.
The call is already available on the Department for Youth Policies website, and applications can be submitted online. For Ragusa, the Provincial Command is preparing to welcome the new volunteers, offering them a high-level training environment and the opportunity to experience a year of civil engagement as protagonists.
An opportunity that combines personal growth, training, and service to the community, and that once again confirms the central role of Ragusa in the regional landscape of civil protection.
