Postponed to Saturday at 7 PM is the procession with the statue of Saint Joseph, which was supposed to traverse the historic center of Ragusa last night starting from the parish of the Most Holy Savior, where the solemn celebrations in honor of the Patriarch continue.
Adverse weather conditions have led the celebration committee to postpone the event for safety reasons. In the coming hours, further updates and the final confirmation regarding the day of the procession are expected.
Yesterday afternoon, the Eucharistic celebration presided over by Father Alessio Leggio and animated by the parish choir took place as scheduled.
In the morning, the parish priest, Father Corrado Garozzo, had led the service, also accompanied by the choir, during which the children paid floral tribute to Saint Joseph.
Even earlier, on the church steps, a heartfelt blessing of pets took place: Father Luigi Diquattro invoked protection over the “travel companions” of the faithful and the devotees present.
On Saturday afternoon, the mass was celebrated by Father Francesco Mallemi, with the participation of the San Pio X parish of Ragusa. At the end, a special blessing was given to all the couples of spouses invited to participate.
