Giuseppe and Ignazio Capizzo at "BellaMa’": Powerchair Hockey tells the strength of a smile
The Sicani Lions, an Agrigento team that has been participating for years in the top Italian electric wheelchair hockey league, will be on Rai 2 tomorrow with the smile and determination of twins Giuseppe and Ignazio Capizzo, ready to share their story and the world of powerchair hockey with the national audience.
They will be guests on “BellaMa’”, the afternoon variety show hosted by Pierluigi Diaco and dedicated to intergenerational dialogue, airing Monday through Friday from 3:25 PM to 5:00 PM.
Giuseppe and Ignazio will participate in the segment “We Are All Able”, curated by Fabrizio Bracconeri, a space that the program reserves for stories of disability, resilience, and social inclusion.
This will be a special opportunity to hear them recount their life journey in full, where powerchair hockey is not just a sport, but an essential piece of autonomy, friendship, and competitive passion, developed also while wearing the jersey of the Sicani Lions, a historic electronic wheelchair hockey team born in the Belice Valley and a key player in the national paralympic championships.
Tomorrow's appointment on Rai 2 represents an important moment of visibility for the association, which has been promoting sport as a tool for personal and social growth for people with motor disabilities for years.
Through the story of the Capizzo twins, the Italian public will be able to closely understand not only the daily challenges but also the successes, the emotions on the field, and the extraordinary energy that animates the locker room of the Sicani Lions, who recently celebrated a hard-fought victory in Serie A2 of powerchair hockey.
The appointment is set for tomorrow, Tuesday, March 17, on Rai 2, starting around 3:30 PM.
An afternoon not to be missed for those who want to discover up close the story of Giuseppe and Ignazio Capizzo and the entire world of the Sicani Lions, where sport becomes voice, redemption, and future.
