Comiso, a series of activities are planned to revitalize the historic center.

The municipal administration of Comiso has announced a measure aimed at from an economic and social perspective and at supporting the establishment of new businesses in the area.

"The regulation will be brought to the city council", said the councilor for Economic Development, Giuseppe Alfano.

"We have thought of preparing a regulation — explains councilor Alfano — with a subsequent public call to provide financial contributions and/or incentives for micro and small businesses to start new entrepreneurial initiatives in the municipal area in the sectors of Craftsmanship, Commerce, Industry, Tourism, and Services, excluding financial and insurance services and freelance activities.

The regulation aims to promote the economic and social revitalization of the municipal historic center, to counter commercial desertification, to encourage the recovery of vacant premises, to improve urban quality, and to enhance the urban, cultural, and productive heritage of the area, as well as to strengthen a stable, qualified, and coherent entrepreneurial fabric with the historical and functional characteristics of the area."
