Fire at the Isab Nord refinery in Priolo Gargallo: flames contained

A fire broke out inside the Isab Nord refinery in the industrial area of Syracuse. This was announced by the mayor of Priolo Gargallo, Pippo Gianni.

"A fire is currently underway inside the Isab Nord facility, in the SG13 department - the mayor states - the company fire crews are already operating and all the relevant authorities have been notified. The situation is currently under control."

The emergency teams have intervened to contain the flames and secure the area. An internal investigation has been launched to determine the causes of the fire.
