United States and Israel struck five oil facilities during the night attacks in the Iranian capital and its surroundings, a state TV official reported. "Last night, four oil depots and a petroleum products transportation center in Tehran and the Alborz were attacked by enemy aircraft," said Keramat Veyskarami, CEO of the National Iranian Oil Products Distribution Company, to state TV. He added that the five facilities "were damaged", but that "the fire has been extinguished".

The official added that four staff members of the facilities were killed. The smoke from the fires that broke out overnight enveloped the capital, casting a dark haze over the city at dawn. Veyskarami stated that Iranian oil depots have "sufficient gasoline reserves".

The United States and Israel also attacked some locations near the city of Yazd, in the central province of Yazd, and explosions were heard in those areas. Local media reported this.
