Checks in Nisseni restaurants, 35 workers in black or irregular employment. Sanctions and closures
Failure to deliver pay slips, use of cash and lack of safety guarantees
Thirty-five workers in "black" or irregular employment were discovered by the financial police of the provincial command of Caltanissetta during checks at seven establishments in the catering sector, four in the capital and three in the province. During the inspections, the absence of the guarantees provided by the Consolidated Law on Occupational Safety also emerged. For three of the companies where the employment of more than 10% of the present staff was found to be "black," a report was also made to the Territorial Labor Inspectorate for the adoption of a suspension from the exercise of the activity. The checks also revealed the use of cash for salary payments, violating the obligation of traceability, and the failure to deliver pay slips.
