Injured the new head of Iran Mojtaba Khamenei? The Pentagon: "We cannot comment."
Escalation in relations between the U.S. and Iran: Larijani challenges Trump and missile alarms sound in northern Israel and in Netanya.
There is a heavy unknown looming in these hours over the Israel-U.S. conflict against Iran. The new Iranian leader Mojtaba Khamenei may have been wounded? The head of the Pentagon Pete Hegseth, when asked about it, does not comment on Khamenei's health status. To those asking if there are indications that he is injured, Hegseth replied: «It is something I cannot comment on at the moment». The new supreme leader «would do well to listen to the words of our president» and say «that he does not intend to pursue nuclear weapons», he emphasized. Meanwhile, the U.S.-Iran relationship is worsening, despite Trump stating he is willing to talk to the adversary.
«Iran is not afraid of your empty threats», said the head of the Iranian Supreme National Security Council, Ali Larijani, addressing President Donald Trump, who had threatened that the United States would hit Iran harder if it blocked the flow of oil from the Strait of Hormuz. «No one greater than you could eliminate Iran, so be careful not to be eliminated», he added on his X account.
The alarms for the arrival of missiles from Iran sounded this morning in northern Israel and in the Netanya area north of Tel Aviv.
