New documents from the Department of Justice: FBI interviews in which a woman accuses Jeffrey Epstein and Donald Trump
The woman from South Carolina accuses the two of abuse in the 1980s, recounting blackmail and threats. The White House responds, calling the accusations unfounded
The Department of Justice has released new documents regarding the case of Jeffrey Epstein, including FBI interviews with a woman from South Carolina who accused the pedophile financier and Donald Trump of sexual assault.
In 2019, the woman told federal authorities that she had been a victim of sexual violence by Epstein and that she had been assaulted by Trump in the 1980s, when she was between 13 and 15 years old.
The interviews, which had not been published until now, have drawn criticism from the victims of the monster and also from many Democratic and Republican politicians, describe the events in detail.
For example, that the mother of the victim was blackmailed by Epstein and that, for years, after the abuses by the deceased financier, she received physical and verbal threats. On more than one occasion, he "drove her by car and/or by plane to New York or New Jersey", to a "very tall building, with huge rooms" where the tycoon sexually assaulted her.
The woman contacted federal law enforcement shortly after Epstein's arrest in 2019. The files had not been published until now.
According to a post from the Department of Justice on X, the reason is that "15 documents had been mistakenly coded as duplicates".
The White House spokesperson, Karoline Leavitt, has downplayed the accusations against the American president. "These are completely unfounded accusations, supported by no credible evidence from a sadly disturbed woman with a long criminal history,” she stated in a note. "The total unfounded nature of these accusations is also supported by the obvious fact that Joe Biden's Department of Justice has been aware of this for four years and has done nothing about it, because they knew that Trump had done absolutely nothing wrong,” she continued. "As we have said countless times, the president has been completely exonerated by the release of the Epstein files".
