Drone battle in the skies of the Gulf: four injured in Dubai, missiles on Doha and Kuwait City

The Middle East has awakened enveloped in a new spiral of violence and tension that spans the entire region, from the Persian Gulf to the Mediterranean, outlining a scenario of serious and sudden instability.

The most critical situation, due to the high degree of uncertainty, concerns Qatar. In the early hours of the morning in Doha, several explosions were heard. Subsequently, the Ministry of Interior issued an urgent appeal, also broadcast by al-Arabiya, urging citizens and residents to stay strictly indoors.

The measure was justified by a “high level of threat to national security”.

While not providing details on the causes of the alert or any specific threats, the authorities assured that they had activated all necessary measures to protect the population, urging everyone to pay close attention to the official guidelines during this period of particular tension.

Meanwhile, hostilities have also heavily impacted the United Arab Emirates and Kuwait, in a context that signals a clear offensive traceable to Tehran.

The authorities in Dubai confirmed the fall of some drones near the international airport. In the incident, four people were injured: two Ghanaian citizens and one Bangladeshi sustained minor injuries, while an Indian citizen was moderately injured. Despite the incident, air traffic continued normally, the Emirati authorities clarified.

Almost simultaneously, the Iranian Revolutionary Guards (Pasdaran) announced, through the news agencies of Tehran, the launch of missiles directed towards Kuwait. According to their version, the target was the U.S. military base in Arifjan, which was reportedly hit by two projectiles. However, at the moment, there has been no official confirmation from the Kuwaiti side regarding an attack on its territory.

The escalation has finally extended to the Levant, where the Israeli army has conducted a new targeted operation in Lebanon. Around 5:00 AM this morning, a raid struck an apartment in the Aïcha Bakkar neighborhood, in the heart of Beirut. This is only the second incursion into the center of the Lebanese capital since the beginning of the Israeli offensive and the entry of Hezbollah into the current regional conflict. According to the Ministry of Health, the attack has resulted in the injury of at least four people.
