War in Iran, F1 cancels the Grands Prix of Bahrain and Saudi Arabia
Sky Sport Germany reports this while awaiting the official announcement.
The Bahrain Grand Prix and the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix have been excluded from the Formula One World Championship calendar due to the "war in Iran" and instability in the Middle East. This was reported by Sky Sports Germany. According to the German broadcaster, the races in Sakhir and Jeddah have been canceled, and an official announcement is expected soon. The Bahrain GP was scheduled for April 12, while the Saudi event was supposed to take place a week later. However, Formula 1 plans to return to the region by the end of the year: Qatar on November 29, and, as is tradition, Abu Dhabi on December 6 will close the season.
