Judge of the "family in the woods" leaves the Juvenile Court of L'Aquila
Change at the top of the Court: Nicoletta Orlando replaces Cecilia Angrisano.
The president of the Juvenile Court of L'Aquila, Cecilia Angrisano, will leave her position next April and may take over the leadership of the Juvenile Court of Perugia. This is what emerges from juvenile judicial sources in the regional capital of Abruzzo.
This is a change due to the end of her term after eight years of service: she will be replaced by Nicoletta Orlando, former deputy of the PCI-PDS, appointed by the plenum of the Superior Council of the Judiciary. The appointment must be ratified by Justice Minister Carlo Nordio.
Angrisano came under public scrutiny last November after the suspension of parental authority for the couple living in the woods in Abruzzo and the simultaneous decision to remove the children to a protected facility.
Recently, for the order that mandated the removal of the mother from the facility - where she was allowed to stay under certain rules set by the Juvenile Court - and the transfer of the children elsewhere.
The magistrate is under escort due to the insults and threats received, particularly on social media: in recent days, protection has been strengthened due to new threats that came after the removal order for the mother.
Meanwhile, in L'Aquila, inspectors sent by Minister Nordio are expected on Tuesday for further investigations following the new order from the Juvenile Court that led to the mother being removed from the protected facility last Friday.
