The 2026 edition of the Finalissima has been canceled, the match between Spain and Argentina that was scheduled to take place in Qatar on March 27. This was announced by Uefa, which, along with the organizers, expressed deep regret, explaining that no alternative solution was found acceptable for the Argentine Football Association (AFA), including moving the event to the “Bernabéu” in Madrid on the same date. Argentina had proposed to play the match after the World Cup, but, as there were no available windows for Spain, this option was also dismissed.
