Who wrote the first message of Mojtaba Khamenei? Doubts about the author of the speech for Iranian reformist source

An Iranian source close to the reformists told the Kuwaiti media Al-Jarida that there are significant doubts about whether the first message attributed to Mojtaba Khamenei was actually written by him. In fact, it is claimed that the author would be the Secretary General of the Supreme National Security Council, Ali Larijani, since the message is identical to several statements made by him prior to the speech. According to the same source, Khamenei's son had not even been informed about the speech. The Kuwaiti media is the same one that reported that Mojtaba was secretly transferred to Moscow for surgery due to health and security reasons. The lack of public appearances by Khamenei since he was appointed Supreme Leader of Iran and the absence of an audio recording of the speech have strengthened these suspicions, to the point that in recent days Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi intervened to reassure that there is "no problem" regarding Mojtaba Khamenei.

The news agency Sabrin News, affiliated with the Iranian-backed militias in Iraq, meanwhile reported that Mojtaba Khamenei has appointed Mohsen Rezaei, a member of the Iranian Council for the Safeguarding of the Regime's Interests and former commander of the Revolutionary Guards, as his military advisor. Israeli media reported this.

Mojtaba Khamenei has reportedly ordered that the officials directly appointed by his assassinated father continue to hold their positions without the need for renewal of their appointments. This was reported by Iran International.

"Following requests from some leaders and officials of entities that were directly appointed by the Martyr Leader, I announce that none of them require a renewal of their appointments at this time," reads the decree published today, according to Iran International, which adds: Mojtaba has also instructed the officials to continue to carry out their functions based on the policies and directives received during the lifetime of Ali Khamenei.
