Vittoria, failure to comply with urban planning regulations: a property seized
Ten people have been reported after checks carried out in the city area.
In the context of building inspections, the local police of Vittoria conducted a series of checks in the municipal area to verify compliance with current urban planning regulations. At the end of the inspection activities, ten people were referred to the judicial authority for alleged violations in the construction field.
During the investigations, a seizure was also carried out on a building that underwent significant structural modifications made without the necessary permits.
According to what emerged, the illegal interventions would have compromised the stability of the building, creating a potentially dangerous situation from a safety perspective. The property had also been divided into multiple residential units without title, a circumstance that could have also led to a case of tax evasion to the detriment of the entity.
The operation is part of a wider surveillance plan aimed at combating illegal construction, protecting public safety, and ensuring compliance with the rules to safeguard the collective interest. Inspections will continue in the coming weeks throughout the municipal area.
“Compliance with urban planning regulations is an essential condition for ensuring safety, legality, and protection of the territory – stated Mayor Francesco Aiello – The municipal administration will continue to support with determination the control activities carried out by the local police, so that irregular behaviors are countered and the safeguarding of the collective interest is ensured.”
