The government will not resign in case of a no victory. This is stated by Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni in a video shared on social media.

"We wrote in the program with which we presented ourselves for the elections - she adds - that we would carry out a series of reforms including that of justice, we have always respected the commitment made to voters, now it is up to the Italians to confirm or not the reform.

As far as we are concerned, we want to reach the end of the legislature and be judged in the political elections on all the work we have done. So Italians who want to send us home can do so calmly in a year, but today we are voting on justice, not on politics.

And if we miss this opportunity to modernize justice, I fear that we will not have many others. Things will continue to not work regardless of who is in government and forever.

So my advice is to vote thinking about what is best for you and your children, not thinking about what is best for the government or for a single party. Because this reform is not a right-wing reform and it is not a left-wing reform, it is a reform of pure common sense.

It concerns people's lives, their freedom, their rights. And then remember that governments come and go, controversies pass, but the rules remain and affect your life, your daily life.

Decide whether you want to leave things as they are or if you want to help us build a fairer, more independent, more efficient justice. Because on March 22 and 23 you choose, and I hope that you choose change. That you choose to help us free the judiciary from politics, to make it more authoritative, more meritocratic. I hope you choose yes.

"Justice is one of the three fundamental powers of the State, it is essential for making Italy function. If it is not efficient, effective, meritocratic, a fundamental part of the mechanism that defines our well-being gets stuck and citizens pay for it. All citizens. Not just those who deal directly with justice, because judges decide on many aspects of our lives, on security, immigration, work, health, personal freedom." This is stated by Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni in a video shared via social media.

"It is an enormous power - he adds - but it is also the only case in which, to this power, almost never corresponds an adequate responsibility. Because if a magistrate makes a mistake, if he is negligent, if, for example, as unfortunately happened, he forgets a defendant in prison for almost a year beyond the deadline, in most cases absolutely nothing happens. That magistrate advances in his career, and those who suffer this misfortune can be any honest citizen."

"These are distortions - he continues - that in 80 years of republican history we have never managed to correct. We have reformed Parliament, the government, public administration, the Regions, many areas. Justice has never been substantially reformed. Because with every attempt, the reaction has been totally disproportionate. And the result has been a judiciary that has lost much of its authority, but also of its effectiveness. The reform addresses exactly this."

"The reform replaces" the current model of the Csm "which is a model in the hands of ideologized factions and political parties, with a lottery, obviously a lottery among those who have the qualifications to hold that position. This means that we will have tomorrow two Csm, one for the prosecuting magistracy, one for the judging magistracy, composed of people who did not have to ask for votes from those whom they then have to decide whether to promote or not, transfer or not, and who were not chosen by the parties."

The Prime Minister, Giorgia Meloni, says this in a video message posted on social media in which she explains the reasons for the Yes to the referendum on the separation of careers.

"With the lottery, therefore, the members of the Csm will not have to thank anyone for being there and will be able to exercise their role freely, without any kind of conditioning; only the merit and the conscience of people who are free will count," assures Meloni.
