Turnover in the council of Misterbianco: Strano takes over from Lo Certo as FdI councilor
Strano is assigned the delegations for Local Police, Stray Animals, and Management of the Nelson Mandela Auditorium.
Turnover in the Misterbianco City Council and internal "movements" within the Brothers of Italy party: after the resignation of councilor Massimiliano Lo Certo, Mayor Marco Corsaro has formalized the appointment of city councilor Alessio Strano.
Lo Certo resigned "due to pressing work commitments" after joining the council on May 15, 2025 as a member of Brothers of Italy. In addition to the mayor's appreciation for the work done, the municipal coordination of FdI thanked the outgoing member "for the sense of responsibility and institutional correctness".
Alessio Strano, who will turn 36 next September, was elected in "Misterbianco Oltre", a list that officially joined - as of October 2024 - the political group FdI of parliament member Giuseppe Zitelli. In the Municipality, the new councilor took an oath in the presence of deputies Ruggero Razza and Giuseppe Zitelli and representatives from the municipal administrations of Misterbianco and Belpasso. Strano has been assigned the delegations for Local Police, Stray Animals, and Management of the Nelson Mandela Auditorium. While thanking everyone, starting with his political group and Mayor Marco Corsaro for the trust and support received, the new councilor assured his maximum commitment to the service of the city.
"I extend my best wishes for good work to councilor Strano - emphasized Mayor Corsaro - who has embraced our project of total commitment in the interest of our city. Thanks to the outgoing Massimo Lo Certo who, as we expected, worked this year with great dedication and effectiveness. I also want to thank parliament members Razza and Zitelli and city councilors Calogero and Di Mauro who, along with Strano, contribute significantly to the good governance project that guides the administrative action for Misterbianco".
"In these years as a councilor, we have achieved many results - said Strano - and now as a councilor in the Corsaro Council, we will continue our concrete commitment on behalf of Misterbianco and the Misterbianco residents".
