Modica and the conference on the theme "Let's Return to Being Human," at the Verga Institute with doctor Pietro Bartolo.

In the framework of the “Verga” Institute of Modica, on the occasion of the conference “Let’s Return to Being Human”, the province of Ragusa welcomed Pietro Bartolo, former Member of the European Parliament and a symbol of civil and humanitarian commitment in the Mediterranean.

His participation provided the opportunity for a political discussion with the provincial coordinator of Italia Viva – Casa Riformista, Marianna Buscema, on issues that today more than ever call into question the public conscience.

Bartolo strongly emphasized the urgency of rebuilding a political home capable of restoring humanity and transparency to public action, recalling how the island is shaken daily by news of arrests, corruption, and favoritism, far from good politics.

“I have always done politics starting from my experience, from what I have seen and touched with my own hands – Bartolo stated – and I wish to continue being a witness, especially to the younger generations.”

Words in full harmony with the vision of Marianna Buscema, who commented: “The presence of Pietro Bartolo in Casa Riformista is a human and political wealth that outlines the path to be taken with even more clarity. We need a different Sicily, one that does not prioritize business interests but the real needs of citizens. A politics that is not personalism, but service to the community. Italia Viva – Casa Riformista Ragusa is now preparing for a significant moment of discussion at the provincial level, scheduled for March 28 in Pozzallo, in the presence of Honorable Davide Faraone, to continue the path of growth and rooting of the political project in the territory.
