The Pd of Messina clarifies, Barbagallo: "No agreement with Cateno De Luca, misleading reconstructions"
Denials agreed with the former mayor: following Barbagallo's post, defense of Antonella Russo's candidacy and strong opposition to the Bridge over the Strait.

The Pd of Messina is forced to clarify: "No agreement with Cateno De Luca and Sud chiama Nord, there can be no misunderstandings in this regard," said the city secretary of the Democrats, Armando Hyerace. He was prompted to make this clarification after the news published by La Sicilia regarding what emerged from the Pd's direction in Niscemi, namely a willingness to dialogue with Sud chiama Nord for the upcoming Regional elections.
The regional secretary, Anthony Barbagallo, had written a post announcing this willingness: "At the regional level, we continue to consider Sud chiama Nord a dialogue partner. Both because it is demonstrating true opposition to Schifani and because there are some local realities that, even in these hours, like Ispica, are working on possible agreements as happened in the past in Carlentini and Licata." A statement that created embarrassment for the local party component, which had to intervene to exclude any hypothesis of an alliance. In Messina, after all, there are the Administrative elections, and the local Pd has presented its candidate, the outgoing city councilor, Antonella Russo: "We have read fanciful reconstructions regarding what Barbagallo said, - continued Hyerace - which certainly referred to the opposition made in Ars and to local groups far from the city of the Strait. Here there can be no misunderstandings: the Pd is in clear opposition to both the center-right parties and De Luca's party. This is not a formal but a substantial distance. The Pd of Messina is clearly and unequivocally against the construction of the Bridge over the Strait. While De Luca and his party are in favor of the grand project, despite the negative opinions from the municipal technical offices and the metropolitan city."
