Syracuse returns to Serie A1: guaranteed promotion with a 4-0 victory over Ausonia Enna

The Table Tennis City of Syracuse is back in Serie A1. The verdict comes with two matchdays to spare in Group B of Serie A2 thanks to the heaviest and most symbolic victory: 4-0 against Ausonia Enna in the last match played at the gym of the "S. Raiti" comprehensive institute in Syracuse, in front of the home crowd.

An exclamation point on a championship led by protagonists: the Aretuseans finish at the top with 20 points after 12 matchdays, certifying an exemplary path made of solidarity, continuity, and convincing performances when it matters most.

The challenge against Ausonia Enna, dominated without conceding any matches, was the perfect synthesis of a promotion season: compact team, clear management of the sets, and the ability to raise the level when the stakes are highest.

For the club led by Salvo Aliotta, this is a return to the top tier that reignites an important tradition, that of a club that in the past has also worn the tricolor on its chest.

Syracuse breathes elite air in Italian table tennis again, with the goal of consolidating and planning for the future.

There are two matchdays left that are now irrelevant for the standings: on Sunday an away match in Rome against King Pong, followed by the last match at home against Torre del Greco. However, these will be useful appointments to celebrate the achievement and begin to build, with enthusiasm and ambition, the next adventure in A1.
