Rosolini, the Sports Judge's harsh penalty: field suspended for five matches and maxi-stop for players

A Sunday of amateur football ended in the worst possible way and a very harsh decision from the Sports Judge. After the match on March 8, 2026, between Football Club Rosolini 25 and Più Forte Ragazzi A.S.D., interrupted in the 36th minute of the second half with a score of 1-2 in favor of the visitors, a flurry of sanctions hit the club, the field, and the registered members.

According to the official documents (referee's report, Field Commissioner's report, and Emergency Room certification), the interruption was caused by very serious episodes of violence and intimidation against the referee, culminating in a real assault, with documented injuries.

Field suspended and match lost by forfeit The heaviest measure for the club concerns the suspension of the field for five actual matches, to be played at a neutral venue and behind closed doors, with any expenses to be borne by the club. This measure is justified – according to the documents – by the seriousness of the incidents, the access to the playing field by unauthorized individuals, the deficiencies in security measures, and the throwing of objects from the stands.

In addition to the field sanction, Rosolini also faces a loss of the match by 0-3 and a fine of 700 euros.

Maxi-suspensions: ban until 2032 The individual sanctions are also very severe. The Sports Judge has imposed multi-year suspensions on several players from Football Club Rosolini 25:

Francesco Presti (n. 6): suspended until June 30, 2032

Hydara Salimina (n. 7): suspended until December 31, 2031

Michele Ragusa (n. 10): suspended until June 30, 2031

Gianluca Rizza (n. 18): suspended until June 30, 2030

Alessio Cataudella (n. 3): suspended until December 31, 2026

The ruling refers to behaviors deemed attributable to the federal regulations on violence against match officials and, for some incidents, to an overall context of aggression that necessitated a sanctioning treatment well beyond the minimums.

Inhibition of a manager and actions in the Federal Prosecutor's Office The measure also affects the managerial area: Gradante Rosa has been inhibited until December 31, 2026. Furthermore, the actions have been transmitted to the Federal Prosecutor's Office for further investigations, particularly regarding the identification of unauthorized individuals who entered the playing area and any responsibilities related to organizational and security failures.

An event that shakes the movement. The decision represents one of the most severe disciplinary measures of the season, which had already outraged the regional president of LND Sicily, Sandro Morgana (READ HERE) and reignites the issue of protection of referees and the management of public order in amateur fields. For Rosolini, in addition to the immediate sporting damage, a delicate phase now opens: five “home-less” matches and without spectators, and a squad affected by very long suspensions that risk leaving repercussions for years.
