Second to last away game of the regular season for Passalacqua Ragusa: on Saturday, at 8:30 PM, at the Palazzetto dello Sport in Rovigo, they will face Solmec Rhodigium in the XXIII round of the Serie A2 women's championship.
The match will be officiated by Michele Melai from Calcinaia (PI) and Edoardo Di Salvo from San Giuliano Terme (PI).
After the forced break of the last round, due to Treviso's withdrawal from the game — match awarded to the Ibleans — the Ragusa team has continued to work without saving energy, aiming to maintain game rhythm and complete the recovery of players returning from injuries. The trip to Rovigo will see the full squad.
“Staying still is never positive but we have completed the recovery of our players and we have worked to regain those alchemies that, with some players sidelined, needed to be fine-tuned. There are four games left and there are no easy matches. We cannot afford mistakes,” says Laura Perseu, assistant coach of Passalacqua. Rovigo is a tough team; their top scorer is Zanetti, a talented player, they rely on Stoichkova, instinctive and dangerous, and among the young players Viviani and Castelli, they have two point guards of intensity and pace. We are no less. We have had time to prepare and we know our opponents and our strengths well. We are heading to Rovigo to achieve a result.”
Good news also from Bea Stroscio: after the ACL surgery on her left knee, which compromised her season, the player has returned to Ragusa a few weeks ago, where she is diligently following her rehabilitation process.
