Syracuse, Laneri after the loss in Latina: "Reaction and pride, the philosophy doesn't change"
The sporting director thanked the many fans present and looks ahead.
LATINA – Bitter away stop for Siracusa, which returns from the trip to Latina with a defeat and some regrets. After the match, there was no press silence as highlighted by anyone (the team had to get back on the bus heading to Fiumicino but Turati will speak in the evening) the blue sporting director Antonello Laneri analyzed the match, highlighting a lackluster start and a character-filled second half from the team.
“The game was not approached very well, then we reacted and we could have even equalized,” said Laneri, capturing a match with two faces: a first part in which Siracusa failed to impose rhythm and ideas, and a subsequent phase in which the Sicilian team regained order, intensity, and danger, coming close to equalizing.
The disappointment remains for the missed opportunity in terms of the standings: “It’s a shame to have left points on the road,” added the sporting director, aware of the importance of every result at this stage of the season. But the message from the technical area is clear: no step back in terms of identity. “Our philosophy does not change,” Laneri reiterated, indicating continuity of work and confidence in the path taken, despite the loss.
In the assessment of the evening, there is also space for the fans, present to support the team away from home: “We thank the fans who came to support us all the way here, once again demonstrating unconditional love for Siracusa.” Words that recognize the value of the blue following even away, at a time when the support of the environment can make a difference.
Siracusa therefore starts again from the reaction shown on the field and from the conviction, reiterated by its sporting director, not to deviate from the path laid out: heads to the next commitment, with the aim of turning the regrets from Latina into points and results.
