Nissa takes the win at Franco Scoglio, Messina continues to decline

A goal that is worth gold, that of Pietro Terranova. La Nissa takes home three deserved points against a Messina that was at times unwatchable and unable to create a dangerous action until three minutes from the end when they hit the post with Roseti, thrown into the fray a few minutes earlier by Feola. The yellow-red coach, in fact, preferred a starting lineup without a traditional center forward, trying not to give points of reference to the opponent. But Nissa imposed their game from the start, made of vertical plays and ball control, and found the goal after just a quarter of an hour thanks also to a general lapse of concentration by the Messina defense that gave free rein to Terranova in the penalty area. It was child's play for him to beat an uncertain Giardino.

The Messina was unable to build a worthy reaction, never creating a dangerous action in front of Castelnuovo except for a lob attempt by Zerbo that went right into the hands of the visiting goalkeeper.

In the second half, Nissa was dangerous at least a couple of times (Sarao in front of Giardino, Kragl's internal post) and Messina, aside from the chance from Roseti, failed to create real opportunities for the equalizer.
