Modica promoted to Serie D after 19 years of waiting

There are victories that are worth more than three points, that become collective memory, that mark a before and an after. But Modica does not tremble: indeed, at 92’, they come close to a third goal with a splendid shot from Torres, which grazes the post and narrowly misses the eurogoal that would have spectacularly closed the match.

The final whistle is a release. Hugs, tears, smiles: the bench and the players come together in a single celebration, aware that they have brought the city back to the fourth national division with four matchdays to spare. A dominance certified by numbers and play, but above all by the solidarity of a group that has never lost its identity.
