Under the heavy rain that fell for all 90 minutes at the "Valentino Mazzola," Sancataldese sinks, losing 0-1 to Sambiase, with a goal from former player Haberkon in the 67th minute, making their path to salvation incredibly difficult. A poor Sancataldese that fought in the first half but practically disappeared in the second, surrendering to Sambiase and facing heavy criticism from the Curva at the 90th minute. For Sancataldese, it is tough to avoid the play-outs, sitting 4 points behind Ragusa and even at risk of direct relegation, with the second-to-last place just 1 point away. Sambiase continues its good season behind the five top teams in this Serie D.
The first chance is for Sambiase, a great shot by Neves from the edge saved by Maravigna, who also stops Sueva's second shot and then bravely anticipates Haberkon in a rush. Sancataldese attempts a header from Rozzi, but it is central, then Souare, alone in front of the goalkeeper, fails to find the ball, and finally, Baglione shoots on target but Colombatti clears it off the line.
In the second half, Sambiase is more aggressive.
