Sinner beats the Russian Medvedev in the final and wins for the first time on the hard court of Indian Wells.

Jannik Sinner also conquers Indian Wells - a trophy that he was still missing - defeating Danil Medvedev in a tightly contested final that the Italian tennis player claimed by beating the Russian 2-0, with both sets decided in a tie break: 7-6, 7-6. 

Sinner, as mentioned, triumphed for the first time on the hard courts of the Californian tournament: for the Italian, this is the first tournament
won in 2026.

Sinner fought hard and "tamed" his opponent, who had just come off a great victory in the semifinals against the Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz. The masterpiece came in the second tie break, when he was down 4-0 and won 4-7.

This success at the "Bnp Paribas Open" boosts the Italian in the race towards the top of the international ranking. For Sinner, it was the 34th final of his career: he now boasts 25 titles, including 4 Slams and six Masters 1000.
