The Carabinieri of the Labor Inspectorate of Sicily (Nil), on duty in the Ragusano, conducted a monitoring operation in the restaurant sector in the Vittoriese.

The inspections revealed irregularities in two establishments in the seaside district of Scoglitti, where workers were employed without regular contracts: in the first establishment, 3 out of 5 employees were found to be undeclared, while in the second 4 out of 5.

In light of the violations found and the exceeding of the threshold established by the regulations against undeclared work, a suspension of activity was ordered for both restaurants. In addition to the temporary closure, inspectors imposed an additional fine of 2,500 euros on each of the two businesses, along with maximum penalties for undeclared work, amounting to 1,950 euros for each undeclared worker. The total amount of the fines amounts to 18,650 euros.
