Punta Braccetto (Ragusa), cleaning works of the Mistretta stream bed begin

Work has begun on the cleaning of the Mistretta stream bed in Punta Braccetto, following the green light from the Basin Authority, the funding obtained at the end of 2025, and the completion of the awarding process.

The announcement was made by the Deputy Mayor and Public Works Councillor of the Municipality of Ragusa, Gianni Giuffrida: "After requesting the Basin Authority, which has the competence, to intervene for the cleaning of the Mistretta stream bed in Punta Braccetto, receiving the related funding at the end of 2025, and completing the process for awarding the works, the intervention is finally underway."

Giuffrida emphasizes that this is part of a framework of continuous monitoring: "A non-isolated action, since while waiting to carry out the legal procedures, we have constantly monitored the situation, both regarding the overhead bridge and the drainage of water."
