Ragusa increasingly a heart-safe city
The Avo donated two defibrillators to the Municipality, installed in front of the multifunctional center on Via Colajanni
A moment of the ceremony
The inauguration ceremony of the new defibrillator station donated to the city of Ragusa by the Hospital Volunteers Association (Avo) took place. The event was held in front of the multipurpose center on Via Colajanni, which also houses the municipal civil protection.
The initiative was made possible thanks to the synergy with the Municipal Administration, which officially approved the acceptance of the donation of the two defibrillators from the association. The donation stems from the Avo's desire to express gratitude towards the numerous Ragusans who are members of the association, while also contributing to equipping the city with essential tools for cardiovascular safety.

As requested by the association, the devices will be placed in high-traffic areas, including public offices and community centers, to ensure maximum utility for the community.
The Municipal Administration expressed its heartfelt thanks to the Avo, emphasizing how this gesture contributes to making Ragusa a city increasingly attentive to health and prevention.
The inauguration of the station coincided with the opening of a series of meetings called "Ragusa Safe City", organized by the Avo.

The ceremony was attended by numerous institutional authorities and representatives from the healthcare sector: Rina Tardino (President Avo) and Dr. Giovanni Noto (Director of the Emergency Department of "Giovanni Paolo II"). Francesco Colombo (President FederAvo) and Cetty Moscatt (President Avo Sicily) also spoke. Institutional greetings were delivered by Dr. Rossella La Terra (Deputy Prefect), Giovanni Iacono (Councilor for Health and Health Policies of the Municipality of Ragusa), Maria Rita Schembari (President of the Free Consortium), Giuseppe Drago (General Director Asp), and Sara Lanza (Health Director Asp).
