But which Juventus, Osimhen's future is already written: for Bayern he is the successor to Kane
According to Bild, the Nigerian at the top of the Bavarian club's dreams is not intimidated by the high transfer fee
Harry Kane continues to score at a rapid pace, leading Bayern towards new achievements; in the corridors of the market and in the media, another heavyweight name is persistently circulating: Victor Osimhen. The suggestion of the Nigerian striker, seen as a potential "heir" to the English forward, divides the Bavarian environment between those who consider it a real summer strategy and those who see it as a mere market mirage. Recently, the format "Bayern Insider" from Bild has reignited the spotlight on this hypothesis, confirming that the club is carefully evaluating the strategic future of its offensive department.
Paradoxically, the main obstacle to Osimhen's arrival in Bavaria is the current number 9. Harry Kane, tied to Bayern Munich by a contract valid until the summer of 2027, is having a record-breaking 2025/26 season. With 30 goals to his name, the Englishman leads the Bundesliga top scorers chart, confirming himself as the undisputed focal point of the Bavarian project on a technical, charismatic, and commercial level. Faced with a striker in such outstanding form, every move for the "after Kane" requires careful and surgical planning. Bayern is currently evaluating several exploratory scenarios for the summer, trying to understand whether a potential, albeit complex, coexistence between the two strikers is possible or if it would be better to aim for a more gradual transition over the coming seasons.
On the other side is Victor Osimhen, coming off an unexpected trajectory. After leading Napoli to the conquest of the scudetto and initially renewing his contract with a release clause between 120 and 130 million euros, the relationship with the Neapolitan environment has drastically deteriorated. This break led to a sensational transfer in the summer of 2025: Galatasaray purchased him outright for around 75 million euros, making him the most expensive signing in the entire history of Turkish football. In Turkey, the striker has regained continuity and staggering numbers, further consolidating his lethal ability to attack depth like few other strikers in the world.
The Contractual Complexities and the "Anti-Italy Clause" Bringing Osimhen away from Istanbul, however, will not be an easy or inexpensive task. The Galatasaray has secured the player with a long-term contract valid until 2029, putting itself in a position of clear strength for any future negotiations. The Turks expect that any offer will include a very high compensation and a similarly generous salary to part with their striker. Making the entire dossier even more intricate is a particular contractual condition: the famous "anti-Italy clause", originally inserted by Napoli at the time of the transfer to discourage an immediate return of the Nigerian to Serie A through a hefty penalty. Although this clause does not directly limit Bundesliga clubs, it demonstrates how complex and negotiated the network of contracts surrounding the striker is.
The Competition in the Summer Market As expected, Bayern Munich is not the only European superpower that has set its sights on the forward. Market rumors reveal a strong interest from top-tier clubs such as Paris Saint-Germain, which is constantly on the lookout for a physically and technically dominant striker, and Manchester United, which has crossed paths with Osimhen's name multiple times in the past. Even in Italy, Juventus is closely monitoring the player's profile, although the Bianconeri must contend with strict financial sustainability constraints and, of course, the cumbersome obstacle of the anti-Italy clause.
