Bad news continues for Trapani and Siracusa. Today, the Federal Prosecutor referred the two Sicilian clubs to the Disciplinary Section of the National Federal Court. Following reports from the Independent Commission for the Verification of the Economic and Financial Balance of Sports Clubs, the clubs will have to respond to a series of administrative violations that have been contested against them.
The accusations against Trapani
The Figc reports in an official note that, on the Trapani side, the referral concerns Valerio Antonini, Vito Giacalone, Andrea Oddo, and Gaetano Niscemi, respectively president, procurators, and manager of the club. They are accused of failing to pay the IV and V installments of the IRPEF withholdings and INPS contributions. Additionally, the referral also concerns the payments of the salaries due to the registered players, the IRPEF withholdings, and the INPS contributions related to the months of July, August, November, and December 2025, which occurred through bank transfers and debits from accounts other than the one registered to the granata club.
The allegations against Siracusa
The president of Siracusa, Alessandro Ricci, has also been referred for failing to pay the INPS contributions and the IRPEF withholdings related to the months of November and December 2025. As in the case of Trapani, the club has been referred for direct responsibility for the disciplinary violations of Ricci, who will also have to respond in his own capacity. Both the granata and Siracusa and their presidents have been charged with recidivism, pursuant to Article 18, paragraph 1, C.G.S..
