A morning dedicated to the responsibility and protection of our four-legged friends. On Saturday March 21, from 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM, Piazza Cavour will become the beating heart of the campaign against stray animals promoted by the Municipality of Agrigento in synergy with the ASP.

The initiative offers residents a valuable opportunity: free microchipping and simultaneous registration with the Dog Registry. A key detail concerns "late" owners: it will indeed be possible to regularize even dogs older than 60 days without incurring any penalties.

“We want to spread a culture of care and combat abandonment,” declared Mayor Francesco Miccichè and the animal protection assessor Riccardo Accurso Tagano. To participate, only a solidarity contribution of 20 euros is required (under Regional Law 15/2022). After the procedure, the health booklet can be collected after five days at the office of Assessor Tagano. A simple gesture to transform ownership into a certified act of love.
