A decisive turnaround to restore decorum and safety to the streets of the city. After months of critical issues and requests, the municipal administration of Sciacca announces an important acceleration on the front of water and sewage maintenance. In the last ten days, the managing body Aica has completed as many as 50 repair interventions, putting an end to chronic leaks and structural collapses that were paralyzing various areas of the city center and outskirts.

The Mayor's strategy: "Adequate resources for Sciacca"

Mayor Fabio Termine firmly claims the political line adopted towards the integrated water service manager. "The change at the top of Aica, for which I fought hard, aimed to bring about a concrete turnaround," explains the first citizen. "Sciacca has always fulfilled its obligations and deserves adequate resources for the complexity of its territory. My position will remain firm on this point."

Despite the slowdowns caused by recent heavy rains, the intervention plan has gained momentum in the last two weeks. It was not just about plugging leaks: the operation allowed for the removal of numerous barriers and the restoration of traffic flow in road sections that had long been considered dangerous.

A dual management approach: planning and emergency

The agreement reached between the Municipality and Aica now includes a strategy structured on two fronts. Preventive mapping: a planning based on critical points already identified to anticipate failures. Emergency response: a rapid management of emergencies reported by citizens.

Thanks go to the residents of Sciacca from the Mayor: "The collaboration of the community, through reports and the sense of responsibility shown, has been fundamental in addressing problems that have been dragging on for years."
