Moments of great concern in recent days for Peppe Flamingo, a businessman from Modica, well-known also in Marina di Modica, who was stranded in Dubai with his family during a cruise aboard the MSC Euribia.

The ship was forced to halt navigation due to the security measures adopted following the escalation of the conflict in the Middle East.

Interviewed this morning by Rai News 24, Flamingo recounted the most tense hours experienced on board.

During a dinner, a new alarm for a possible missile attack led to the immediate closure of the external decks, generating strong tension among the passengers.

Upon returning to their cabin, he and his family found an unexpected notice: prepare your luggage without delay.

The following day, arrangements would be made for the transfer to the airport for their return to Italy. In total, about two hundred compatriots were disembarked and boarded a direct flight to Rome Fiumicino.

Flamingo publicly thanked the crew and the company, highlighting how, despite the delicacy of the situation, the staff remained constantly available and reassuring, managing to make the passengers feel protected.

Even the arrival at the airport was not straightforward: travelers were moved several times between different lines before locating the correct gate for boarding.

Among the most striking memories, the businessman mentions the first nights spent on board: "From the sky came booms and flashes were seen. In those moments, it was clear how serious the situation was".

The return to Italy now represents a great relief for Flamingo and his family, after days marked by fear, uncertainty, and constant changes in plans.
