“We continue to closely follow the developments of the crisis in the Middle East,” said Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni in her social media posts.
“The Italian Government is working tirelessly, in contact with our allies and partners in the region, to monitor the situation and protect the safety of Italian citizens - she continued - The priority is to protect our fellow citizens and work, together with our main partners and allies, to support any initiative that could lead to a return to diplomacy and dialogue between the parties. At the same time, we are monitoring all fronts, from security to the economic effects of the crisis, assessing every possible mitigation action in these areas. Italy will continue to do its part with responsibility and determination.
