At least nine people have been killed and another 17 have been injured today in Israeli attacks in the eastern Bekaa Valley, according to a preliminary toll from the Lebanese Ministry of Health. "The enemy's Israeli raids on the city of Nabi Sheet, in the Baalbek district, have resulted in nine dead and seventeen injured," the ministry said in a statement, adding that the search for survivors under the rubble continues.

The Ghanaian army, meanwhile, has confirmed the attack on a UNIFIL position in Lebanon, reporting two consecutive missile strikes shortly before 6 PM local time against the headquarters of the Ghanaian battalion of the UN force. "Two soldiers are seriously injured," the army said in a statement, adding that they are "in stable condition." The officers' mess building was also hit and razed to the ground, the Ghanaian army stated, without specifying the origin of the attacks. In a statement released in the evening, Lebanese President Joseph Aoun accused Israel of conducting "a direct attack against UNIFIL."

The clash continues. "Hezbollah and the Iranian regime are one and the same. We will complete the collapse of the Iranian axis and continue to strike the enemy." This was stated by the Chief of Staff of the IDF Eyal Zamir during an assessment with civilian administrations in northern Israel, which has been hammered in recent days by attacks from the Shiite organization. "Hezbollah has chosen to join the operation alongside Iran and is paying the price for it. We will seize every opportunity to strike Hezbollah, advance results, and remove the threat. We will not give up on their disarmament." Zamir then reported that he had ordered "the strengthening of defense along the border with Lebanon."
