Licata-San Vito case: the Sports Judge sends the documents to the Federal Prosecutor's Office. The club: "We are calm"
A supplement of investigations has been requested regarding what happened at the end of the first half of the match
The Licata Calcio welcomed with serenity - calling it "correct" the decision of the Sports Judge to forward the documents to the Federal Prosecutor for a supplementary investigation regarding what happened at the end of the first half of the match between the yellow-blues and San Vito Lo Capo.
Even though the wait for the final decision of Sports Justice prolongs the timeline, there is similar optimism in the yellow-blue camp as that which emerged from the very first moment the case came to light, both because at Dino Liotta "nothing happened that could justify the interruption of the match", as stated in the press release from Licata Calcio, and because "based on the current documents, there are no sufficient elements to ascertain any responsibilities pursuant to art.6 of the C.G.S., nor to evaluate the application of the sporting sanction of match loss pursuant to art.10 of the C.G.S.", as literally reported in the decision of the Sports Judge mentioned above.
In the meantime, while awaiting developments in the matter, the attention of the club, the team, and the fans has shifted to tomorrow's home match (Sunday), when, starting at 3:00 PM, Licata will host 90011 Bagheria at Dino Liotta, a team that occupies the twelfth place in the standings, with 31 points, 25 goals scored, and 27 conceded. Clearly, the goal is to aim for yet another victory and take another step towards immediate and direct return to Serie D.
