The Lazio TAR suspends the anti-mafia interdiction: the construction company returns to operation

The Lazio TAR has accepted the precautionary request of Soc. S., a historic company from Favara active for over ten years, suspending the effects of the prohibitory measure issued by the Ministry of the Interior. A decision that restores full operational capacity to a reality caught in a complex bureaucratic short circuit.

It all began in January 2025, when the company requested registration in the Anti-Mafia Registry of Executors. Despite an initial green light, the Viminale later ordered the cancellation and suspension of activities, hypothesizing "symptomatic elements of mafia conditioning."

The legal counteroffensive, led by lawyers Girolamo Rubino and Rosario De Marco Capizzi, made an impact on the administrative judges by focusing on the violation of the right to defense. According to the lawyers, the Ministry based the stop on unprecedented circumstances, never contested to the company during the investigative phase, effectively preventing a real contradiction.

Thanks to the order of the TAR Rome, the company regains registration in the strategic register and can return to operate in public works. Investigations continue, but for now, the productive "heart" of the Favara company can start beating again.
