New intimidation in the eastern area of Palermo. Last night, a fire heavily damaged a tobacconist's shop located on via Messina Marine, near the Buccheri La Ferla hospital. The prompt intervention of the Firefighters managed to extinguish the flames, but authorities do not rule out the intentional nature of the event.

The incident is part of a critical context for the entire eastern part of the city. In just one week, the neighborhood has been the scene of other serious acts of intimidation: the fire at the parking lot of a merchant who had reported the extortion racket and the fire of an excavator belonging to a company engaged in sewer system works.

The night just passed did not spare via Quarto dei Mille either, where a car was set on fire under circumstances still to be clarified.
