"Total Discontinuity": the League steps in for Agrigento and halts the investiture of Sodano
Nino Germanà launches the challenge: "Ready to offer worthy candidates"
Nino Germanà
It is more than a hand extended, it is an attempt to circumvent a wall against wall situation that risks transcending the purely local issue and becoming a problem within the Government coalition of the Region, especially in light of the 2027 vote.
The League, through its regional commissioner, Senator Nino Germanà, has indeed revived the hypothesis that it is the Salvini party that should propose a name for the city of Agrigento. This takes advantage of the substantial decision by Brothers of Italy to delay the endorsement of Lillo Sodano as a candidate from a segment of the center-right.
“For us – comments the senator - the unity of the center-right is sacred and I thank my colleague Donzelli for his statements in this regard. Now we need to move from words to actions and certainly premature moves do not help keep the coalition united. One cannot look to the future without considering recent history. There needs to be discontinuity with the current administration. The League – he adds - is ready to offer the city one or more candidacies worthy of the challenge and we ask our allies for the same generosity that we are demonstrating in other contexts.”
