The protest of Fontanelle: "Debris abandoned for 40 days and pothole-ridden roads"
The neighborhood committee sends a certified email to Aica and the Municipality
Failure to restore the roadway and abandonment of construction debris on Alessio di Giovanni Street. This is the subject of the Pec that the "Fontanelle Insieme" Committee sent to Aica and the mayor of Agrigento to urge the removal of the mountain of debris from the excavations carried out on behalf of Aica along Alessio di Giovanni Street, just a few steps from the schools, which for about 40 days have been causing inconvenience not only to the residents.
The abandoned material, among other things, risks damaging the mural located in the square.
Residents of the area, just a few days ago, not seeing workers arrive for the restoration of the sites, had decided to send a petition to the prefect, but in the meantime, the Neighborhood Committee intervened to help them.
With the Pec, "Fontanelle Insieme" requested Aica and the Municipality for the removal of the construction debris and the restoration of the roadway on the main and busy artery of Fontanelle.
"On the road – writes the Committee – instead of a proper asphalt paving, only a temporary fix has been made, leaving potholes, depressions, and patches that make the road dangerous for pedestrians, motorcyclists, and motorists, especially at night."
For "Fontanelle Insieme", abandoning the construction debris is a serious circumstance considering that there is a playground in the square frequented by families and that the space has been redeveloped with the participation of the residents themselves.
