Ispica, the City Council will assess the traffic situation along the coastal strip
It was Councilor Milana who requested a special meeting of the city council. The appointment is set for Tuesday morning
The city councilor Salvatore Milana
It will be held on Tuesday, March 10, at 10:30 AM, at the “Ciccio Iozzia” auditorium (former Sciabica), a decisive session of the City Council of Ispica.
The meeting, formally requested by councilor Salvatore Milana, will address two interconnected emergencies: the fight against erosion in Santa Maria del Focallo and the restoration of the roadway along the coastal road, which has been severely tested by recent storms.
The debate in the chamber will focus on three key points: review of the current status of the project with verification of the authorization process; analysis of any necessary modifications to obtain final approval; focus on emergency interventions along SP 67, an essential artery for coastal connections.
Councilor Milana emphasized the need for maximum administrative transparency on a dossier that directly impacts local economy and public safety.
“The City Council must be put in a position to know the real status of the procedures,” Milana declares. “Coastal erosion cannot be addressed with slogans. We are talking about areas classified as very high risk by the PAI (Hydrogeological Asset Plan). It is necessary to clearly distinguish between emergency measures on the roadway and definitive coastal defense works.
The goal is to provide the community with the useful elements to form an informed opinion on the facts and the concrete prospects for the protection of one of the most valuable stretches of coastline in southeastern Sicily.
