Agrigento Smart City: digital totems are coming. Here’s how to download the App with the QR Code

Agrigento shortens the distances between administration, residents, and visitors, betting on the digitalization of its beating heart. In the historic center, along the vital axis connecting via Atenea to piazza Marconi, the first informational totems of the latest generation have appeared: not just simple urban furniture installations, but real gateways to the city's services.

The project, strongly desired by the Miccichè Administration, focuses entirely on interactivity. Each structure is equipped with a dynamic QR Code that allows for the immediate download of the official App of the Municipality of Agrigento, available on all digital stores. The goal is to transform the smartphone into an intelligent compass to navigate between the beauties of the Valley and daily necessities.

"This is a fundamental tool to increase the information available to those who want to better discover our reality," declared Mayor Francesco Miccichè. But it is not just a showcase for tourists: the app integrates crucial sections for city life, from pharmacies on duty to the schedules of urban transport and taxis. The real change, however, concerns active participation: a section dedicated to reports will allow citizens to communicate any service disruptions in real time, making the dialogue with City Hall direct and transparent. "I invite everyone to download the app — concludes the mayor — to stay updated on events and experience the territory more consciously."
